Introducing ClawSecure: The Integrity Layer for Agent Skills and Workflows
Don't just scan the file — verify the soul of the agent as it evolves. Meet the world's first independent audit registry for the agentic era.
J.D. Salbego
Founder, ClawSecure
For a decade, I built and operated platforms across crypto exchanges, DeFi protocols, and GameFi ecosystems, managing exchange risk systems, overseeing smart contract audits, and building fraud detection in environments where security failures were measured in real capital. At every scale inflection, the same pattern surfaced: the security tools weren't built for the systems they were protecting. ClawSecure formalizes what I learned operating inside the blast radius of insecure systems, purpose-built as the ai agent integrity layer for the agentic internet.
The agentic internet is exploding. OpenClaw has surpassed 180,000 users. Moltbook is powering 2.2 million+ agent instances. ClawHub hosts thousands of community-built skills. AI agents are no longer experimental, they're running on people's machines, accessing files, calling APIs, and making decisions.
But here's the problem: trust infrastructure doesn't exist. The ecosystem needed a dedicated OpenClaw security scanner, not just generic malware tools repurposed from other domains.
Generic malware scanners treat agent skills like any other file. They check for known signatures and move on. They miss the deeper agentic risks: the prompt injections that chain between agents, the credential harvesting hidden behind legitimate-looking tool calls, the "sleeper" updates that turn a safe skill malicious weeks after installation. The evidence is already clear: OpenClaw security vulnerabilities at scale affect 41.7% of the most popular skills in the ecosystem.
Today, we're launching ClawSecure to fix this.
What Is ClawSecure?
ClawSecure is the ai agent integrity layer for skills and workflows. We're the world's first independent agent audit registry purpose-built for the agentic era.
We don't just scan files. We verify the soul of the agent as it evolves.
That means auditing not just the code in a skill, but the complex logic and handshakes between agents in a swarm. It means tracking whether the agent running on your machine is still the same verified code from the agent audit registry. It means catching the threats that generic scanners were never designed to detect.
The OWASP Top 10 for Agentic Applications (2026) identifies ten critical risk categories for autonomous AI agents, from goal hijacking to supply chain compromise. ClawSecure's 3-Layer Audit Protocol provides coverage across all 10 OWASP ASI categories, making it the most comprehensive OpenClaw security scanner available.
The 3-Layer Audit Protocol
Layer 1: Proprietary Behavioral Engine
Our own intelligence, built from the ground up for the OpenClaw ecosystem. 55+ threat patterns purpose-built for AI agent skills, including ClawHavoc campaign detection, unauthorized C2 connections, credential harvesting sequences, exfiltration patterns, ReDoS vulnerability detection, and context-aware threat analysis that differentiates real threats from standard OpenClaw agent capabilities.
Layer 2: Advanced Static & Behavioral Analysis
Industry-standard protocols leveraging tools including Cisco's AI Skill Scanner for static YARA pattern matching combined with behavioral dataflow analysis. Traces execution paths and taint tracking across tool-calling chains. Catches eval() abuse, base64 obfuscation, prompt injection patterns, and code that attempts to break out of its intended scope.
Layer 3: Supply Chain Security
Full dependency tree scanning using supply chain databases like OSV.dev. Every npm package in a skill is checked against known CVE databases, flagging compromised dependencies and unpinned versions that could be hijacked. Because a skill is only as secure as its weakest dependency.

Beyond Scanning: The Watchtower
A clean scan today doesn't guarantee safety tomorrow. That's why we built the Watchtower, our real-time integrity monitoring system.
The Watchtower automatically crawls the agent audit registry 24/7. When a developer pushes an update to a skill, we detect the code drift, re-hash the content, and re-verify instantly. If a previously safe skill has been modified, whether intentionally or through a compromised update pipeline, we catch it.
This is our answer to the "Sleeper Agent" problem: agents that pass initial review but are later weaponized. With the Watchtower, a skill's security clearance is only as fresh as its latest code. Learn more about how Context-Aware Intelligence works to differentiate real threats from standard agent capabilities.
Security Clearance API
For developers and platforms building on the OpenClaw ecosystem, we offer the Security Clearance API, programmatic runtime verification that lets you check any skill's integrity status before granting access. One API call returns the full security clearance: score, risk level, last scan date, and content hash.
This is how marketplaces, platforms, and agent orchestrators can integrate trust at the infrastructure level, not as an afterthought, but as a core primitive.
2,890+
Agents Audited from the community-curated awesome-openclaw-skills list, the largest public security audit database in the OpenClaw ecosystem. By securing skills at the source on ClawHub, we're vaccinating 2.2M+ agents downstream.
What does the OpenClaw security scanner actually catch? Our audit of 2,890+ skills detected 9,515 individual findings. 41.7% of skills contain substantive security vulnerabilities beyond metadata issues. 30.6% have at least one HIGH or CRITICAL severity finding. 18.7% exhibit indicators associated with the ClawHavoc malware family. And 99.3% ship without a config.json permissions manifest. These are the results of a purpose-built scanner, not generic tools repurposed from other domains. For Users
Verify any ClawHub skill in seconds before you install. Paste a URL into our OpenClaw security scanner, get a full Security Audit Report. Ensure your personal data stays private and your local computer stays secure. It's free, it's instant, and it could save you from a compromised machine.
For Creators
Certify your individual skills or your entire multi-agent workflow. Gain "ClawSecure Verified" status, the badge that tells users your agent has been independently audited. Join the Verified Agent Registry and build your reputation in an ecosystem where trust is the scarcest resource.
For Platforms & Marketplaces
Integrate ClawSecure as the ai agent integrity layer for your marketplace or agent platform. Our Security Clearance API lets you verify agent integrity programmatically before granting access. One API call returns a full security clearance: score, risk level, content hash, and real-time integrity status. Build trust into your infrastructure, not as an afterthought.
What's Coming: The Verified Agent Marketplace
The free OpenClaw security scanner and Watchtower are just the foundation. In Q2 2026, we're launching the Verified Agent Marketplace, a curated directory where every listed agent has been security-verified through our 3-layer protocol.
Three tiers of verification:
- Active Audit (Free) — what's live today. Scan any skill, get a score and report.
- Verified Creator — KYC identity verification adds accountability to the code.
- Gold Verified — enterprise-grade: full code audit + continuous monitoring + identity verification.
The agentic internet needs an ai agent integrity layer. Not a generic scanner, but a system that verifies trust at every stage, from code to deployment to runtime. That's what ClawSecure is building.
